Most Veilpress printing is done to
commission, but occasionally we produce a little jeu
d'esprit on our own account. Lady Flower was
first published by Veilpress in 2006 in an
edition of fifty copies. This electronic edition is
provided free of charge for your enjoyment and represents
the more formal, classical typography used for Orders of
Service and similar projects. You can manipulate the view
settings (book is best) and magnification by using the
Scribd/iPaper menu bar.
The Blackfan Annals is an édition de luxe,
commissioned by the Royal and Pontifical English College of
St Alban, Valladolid. This first volume in the College's
A.C.S.A. series was designed and typeset by Veilpress in
three languages and contains a fascinating series of
historical records edited by the Reverend Peter Harris. The
typeface used is Robert Slimbach's Warnock Pro, with its
lovely swashed italic especially suited to the
seventeenth-century Latin texts in the volume. Only 100
copies are available for sale, exclusively from Maggs Bros
Ltd, 50 Berkeley Square, London W!J 5BA. Here, however, you
can have a peep at a few of the pages. Publication date is
25 October 2008. A further nine volumes are already
planned.
